Why sitemap monitoring matters.

Sitemaps are small files with a large job: they tell search engines which URLs deserve discovery. When they disappear, redirect, or contain stale URLs, teams often notice only after organic performance drops.

Search engines can miss new pages when sitemap URLs break silently.

CMS plugins, migrations, and redirects often change sitemap locations.

Large sites need fast visibility into missing, duplicated, or stale entries.

Phase 1 keeps the existing SaaS account, dashboard, admin, billing, payment, webhook, D1, and Better Auth foundation in place. The first public workflow is intentionally free and indexable.

FAQ

Questions before you run a sitemap check.

Do I need an account to use the sitemap tools?

No. The Phase 1 tools are public and free to use. Accounts, dashboard, billing, and admin features stay available for later monitoring workflows.

Does Sitemap Watch crawl my whole website?

The XML generator can crawl up to 100 same-domain HTML pages, respect basic robots.txt rules, skip nofollow links, and use canonical URLs. It does not execute JavaScript or crawl every page on very large sites.

Can I monitor sitemap changes yet?

Monitoring is planned after the public tools and SEO content are live. The existing SaaS foundation remains in place for that next phase.
